Karen Block is a photographer who likes to combine her passion for art and photo-documentary, often to help champion a cause, highlight an injustice or celebrate a voyage of discovery. For this series she works with medium format producing square images. None of her work is manipulated the picture taken is what you see. This project will focus on The Somme highlighting the plight of thousands of lives cut short tragically before their time.
Karen’s work was chosen by Travers Smith art programme last year and was commended by Darwin Magazine UK for Graduates of 2015.
